Price is for a healthy, thriving plant that resembles the size shown in the picture. Price does not include the pot, which can be purchased separately.

🪴Nursery pot size:
This nursery pot is approximately 17cms in height and width.

☀ These prefer a bright room out of direct sunlight
💧 Be careful not to overwater these as they will fail to thrive if you do. Give them a good drink until water comes out of the drainage, and then wait for the soil to dry before re-watering.

How does it work?
Each plant comes with care instructions that are clear and easy to understand. We also have comprehensive care guides on the website under plant care and advice.

But we understand that it can still be confusing. So, we offer you a service where you can contact us whenever you have questions, no matter what your question is, or how many weeks/months have passed since your plant purchase. You choose the method of contact that suits you best, whether that be email (contact chontelle@thelilypot.co.nz), via the online chat on our website or via one of our social pages (facebook, instagram, Tiktok).

You may like to just check if you’re on the right track or perhaps you want to send us pictures for us to guide you. We can help you with anything but here’s some common questions that we have guided many customers through:

* Where do I place my plants in my home? (We will work with you and ask you to send us photos to guide you to get this right from the beginning)

* How often should I water and should I water it now? (We will make this super easy for you to understand so it’s not just a guess and hope for the best)

* Do I need to repot my plant, can I do it this time of year and how do I prevent transplant shock? (No worries! We will provide you with clear, step by step instructions)

This is not an exhaustive list because really, no question is a silly question! We often save plants if you contact us early, as we guide you with what they need. We pride ourselves on having many repeat customers as the result of our personalised one to one service.

If you’re an experienced plant parent and don’t need the aftercare advice and support, that’s totally ok too! We are happy to leave you to it, but know that we’re here should you need us, anytime.

We take pride in ensuring each order is packaged with the upmost care and attention, ensuring a safe journey. In the unlikely event that your order doesn't arrive in perfect condition, please send us an email with a photo of the damage and we will either replace the item (if in stock) or offer you a full refund (if the item is no longer available). We do not offer a full refund should you change your mind post purchase. 

Our Shipping Costs

We are constantly reviewing our shipping charges to ensure that we offer you a reasonable and competitive rate. We also purposely don't have branded boxes and recycle where we can to keep our shipping costs as low as possible. We offer free shipping on all orders $90 and over. If your order is under $90, the following rates will apply:

Christchurch* -

Free click and collect or $6 delivery (non-rural areas)

Nationwide Shipping - 

$8 (non-rural) and $11 (rural)

*There are some items on the website that are not able to be shipped outside of Christchurch due to size/weight. These will be clearly noted on the applicable products. 

Click and Collect orders

Should you select to pick up your order, we will be in contact with you to arrange a suitable time.  This is usually within a day or two of your order being received. 

When to expect your shipped order

We are keen to get your order to you as quickly and safely as possible and therefore take the following approach when shipping items:

Order doesn't contain plants - These orders will be picked up by our courier within 1-2 business days, after receiving your order. Delivery is usually within 3-5 days of collection and tracking details will be emailed to you. Check your spam folder should you not receive an email in your inbox. 

Order contains plants - It will depend on the delivery address and day/time that an order is received, as to when an order will be picked up by our courier.  We are located in Christchurch, so we minimise the risk of plants sitting at a depot over the weekend by arranging our couriers on the following days:

North Island - The courier collects orders from us on Mondays and Tuesdays only.

South Island - The courier collects orders from us on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

You can expect to receive your order within 3-5 days of collection and tracking details being emailed to you.
